Wir teilen euch mit, dass das Festival aufgrund der in Berlin wegen des Corona-Virus getroffenen Maßnahmen verschoben wurde.

Über das Festival:
Globale Berlin: das globalisierungskritische Filmfestival ist ein Raum, der emanzipatorischen Inhalten eine Plattform bietet und sich mit unterschiedlichen Widerstandskämpfen solidarisiert. Die ausgewählten Filme machen eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Kämpfe sichtbar, die sich radikal gegen ein global vorherrschendes System stellen, in dem kapitalistische Ausbeutung, patriarchale Gewalt, Rassismus und Diskriminierung das Leben und seine Zukunft bedrohen.
In den hauptsächlich dokumentarischen Formaten lernen wir von inspirierenden Widerstandsformen weltweit, die eine Welt verteidigen und aufbauen, in der ein würdiges und selbstbestimmtes Leben von allen Menschen und Tieren im Einklang mit der Natur möglich ist. Der Widerstand lässt sich nicht beirren von neuen Erscheinungsformen des Kapitalismus und Kolonialismus, die kriselnd versuchen, alte Strukturen im neuen Gewand als Alternative zu verkaufen. Die Idee des Festivals ist auch, wirkliche Alternativen sichtbar zu machen, die tagtäglich praktiziert werden und wachsen, um von ihnen zu lernen und sie gedeihen zu lassen.
Bei der Selektion der Filmprojekte steht nicht nur das Endprodukt Film im Mittelpunkt, sondern oftmals gerade seine Entstehungsart und der Zusammenhang zwischen dem Inhalt und dem, wie, warum und für wen es hergestellt wurde. Globale unterstützt vor allem fortwährende und kollektive Solidaritätsnetzwerke. Es werden aktuelle Filme bevorzugt (aus den letzten zwei Jahren) oder solche, dessen Inhalt für die Aktualität wichtig sind.
Das Festival ist nichtkommerziell, selbstorganisiert und vergibt keine Preise. Mehr als ein reines Filmfestival soll es ein interaktiver Raum sein, in dem kritische Reflexion durch Diskussionen, Workshops und Begegnungen mit Filmemacher*innen, Aktivist*innen und Künstler*innen geboten wird. Während des Festivals gibt es in den Nebenräumen eine Ausstellung sowie Essen auf Spendenbasis für konkrete Projekte.
Zur Geschichte des Festivals:
Globale wurde 2003 in Berlin geboren und verbreitete sich später in andere Städte und Länder. Die zu dieser Zeit erstarkenden Anti-Globalisierungs-Proteste waren für die weltweite Replikation des Festivals ausschlaggebend. Heute findet die Globale in Leipzig, Bremen, Marburg, Salzburg, Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo und Bogota statt. Sie hat überall den gleichen Ansatz, setzt sich aber aus unterschiedlichen Orga-Teams zusammen, die größtenteils unabhängig voneinander arbeiten.
Über das Orga-Team:
Wir sind Menschen mit einer kritischen politischen Position zu den Inhalten des Festivals. Unsere Gruppe ist eine offene, nicht-hierarchische Gruppe, in der sich die Mitglieder je nach Kapazität und Initiative einbringen. Wir arbeiten das ganze Jahr über an der Auswahl der Filme und den Vorbereitungen und organisieren außerhalb des Festivals regelmäßig einzelne Filmscreenings mit Aktivist*innen, die gerade in der Stadt sind. Niemand von uns wird dafür bezahlt, das Festival zu organisieren.

About the festival:
Globale Berlin: the film festival critical of globalization is a space that offers a platform for emancipatory content and solidarity with various resistance struggles. The selected films make visible a multitude of different struggles that radically oppose a globally dominant system in which capitalist exploitation, patriarchal violence, racism and discrimination threaten life and its future.
In the mainly documentary formats, we learn from inspiring forms of resistance worldwide that defend and build a world in which a dignified and self-determined life for all humans and animals in harmony with nature is possible. The resistance cannot be deterred by new manifestations of capitalism and colonialism, which are trying in a crisis to sell old structures in a new guise as an alternative. The idea of the festival is also to make visible real alternatives that are practiced and growing every day, to learn from them and let them flourish.
In the selection of film projects, the focus is not only on the end product film, but often on its way of origin and the connection between content and how, why and for whom it was produced. Above all, Globale supports perpetual and collective solidarity networks. Current films (from the last two years) are preferred or those whose content is important for topicality.
The festival is non-commercial, self-organized and does not award prizes. More than just a film festival, it should be an interactive space in which critical reflection is offered through discussions, workshops and encounters with filmmakers*, activists* and artists*. During the festival there will be an exhibition in the adjoining rooms as well as food on a donation basis for concrete projects.
On the history of the festival:
Globale was born in Berlin in 2003 and later spread to other cities and countries. The anti-globalization protests that were growing stronger at that time were decisive for the worldwide replication of the festival. Today the Globale takes place in Leipzig, Bremen, Marburg, Salzburg, Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo and Bogota. It has the same approach everywhere, but is made up of different Orga teams, most of which work independently of each other.
About the Orga Team:
We are people with a critical political position on the contents of the festival. Our group is an open, non-hierarchical group in which members participate according to capacity and initiative. We work all year round on the selection of films and preparations and regularly organise individual film screenings outside the festival with activists* who are currently in town. None of us are paid to organise the festival.

Globale Berlín: el festival de cine crítico con la globalización es un espacio que ofrece una plataforma de contenido emancipatorio y solidaridad con varias luchas de resistencia. Las películas seleccionadas hacen visibles una multitud de luchas diferentes que se oponen radicalmente a un sistema global dominante en el que la explotación capitalista, la violencia patriarcal, el racismo y la discriminación amenazan la vida y su futuro.
En los formatos principalmente documentales, aprendemos de formas inspiradoras de resistencia en todo el mundo que defienden y construyen un mundo en el que es posible una vida digna y autodeterminada para todos los seres humanos y animales en armonía con la naturaleza. La resistencia no puede ser disuadida por las nuevas manifestaciones del capitalismo y el colonialismo, que en una crisis intentan vender viejas estructuras con un nuevo disfraz como alternativa. La idea del festival es también hacer visibles las alternativas reales que se practican y crecen cada día, aprender de ellas y dejarlas florecer.
En la selección de proyectos cinematográficos, el enfoque no se centra sólo en la película como producto final, sino también en su forma de origen y en la conexión entre el contenido y cómo, por qué y para quién fue producida. Globale apoya sobre todo las redes de solidaridad perpetuas y colectivas. Se prefieren las películas actuales (de los últimos dos años) o aquellas cuyo contenido es importante para la actualidad.
El festival no es comercial, es autogestionado y no otorga premios. Más que un festival de cine, debería ser un espacio interactivo en el que se ofrezca una reflexión crítica a través de debates, talleres y encuentros con cineastas*, activistas* y artistas*. Durante el festival habrá una exposición en las salas contiguas, así como comida a modo de donación para proyectos concretos.
Sobre la historia del festival:
Globale nació en Berlín en 2003 y luego se extendió a otras ciudades y países. Las protestas antiglobalización, cada vez más fuertes en aquella época, fueron decisivas para la reproducción mundial del festival. Hoy en día la Globale tiene lugar en Leipzig, Bremen, Marburgo, Salzburgo, Río de Janeiro, Montevideo y Bogotá. Tiene el mismo enfoque en todas partes, pero está formado por diferentes equipos de Orga, la mayoría de los cuales trabajan de forma independiente.
Sobre el equipo Orga:
Somos personas con una posición política crítica sobre los contenidos del festival. Nuestro grupo es un grupo abierto, no jerárquico, en el que los miembros participan según su capacidad e iniciativa. Trabajamos todo el año en la selección de películas y los preparativos y organizamos regularmente proyecciones individuales fuera del festival con activistas* que se encuentran actualmente en la ciudad. A ninguno de nosotros nos pagan para organizar el festival.
